Shoulder Mount Poses
Upright
Upright mounts are great to showcase that high alert look of your trophy. This a standard look of deer mounts. The ears are usually set in a forward alert position as well. This type of mount can be mounted with a right turn or a left turn. They can also be offset, or looking straight on. This mount must be hung lower on your wall due to the height of the mount but it does not stick as far out as other poses.
Semi-Upright
Very similar to the upright mounts that are great to showcase that high alert look of your trophy. The ears are still usually set in a forward alert positions as well. This type of mount can be mounted with a right turn or a left turn. They can also be offset, or looking straight on. This mount must be hung lower on your wall due to the height of the mount but it does not stick as far out as other poses.
Semi-Sneak
The semi sneak pose showcases your trophy in a relaxed position. This is a great artistic pose with a right or left turn. The ears can be set either alert, relaxed, or one of each. This pose allows for your trophy to be hunger higher on your wall, however it does stick out a little farther than an upright.
Full Sneak
The full sneak pose, shows your trophy in the most relaxed of all the poses. The ears can be set alert, relaxed, or one of each. This pose can be mounted high on the wall, but it sticks out farther than any other pose.
Wall Pedestal
A wall pedestal is a great way to showcase your entire shoulder mount. There is an open spot on the back of the mount that can be covered in felt, wood, fabric or other material. This pose can be done with huge right or left turns. The ears can be set alert, relaxed, or one of each. This pose is mounted from the side of the deer not the back, and must be mounted lower on the wall, like an upright, as it is a taller mount, but it does not stick as far out a semi-sneak, or full sneak.
